On the seventh day we rested

On the seventh day, we rested. We took a short hike up to a waterfall, where we were also able to get a good glimpse of one of the Three Sisters Mountains. Camping at the base of Three Sisters Mountains for five days allowed me time to indulge in thinking of the mountians as a metaphor my own relationship with my two sisters. How beautiful and elegant and strong and even independent each of them are and also what a stable and immovable part of my life they are. I only wish that the three of us could be permanently geographically close as these mountains are!

After packing up our campsite, we headed to Bend for an afternoon of shopping and swimming. As the sun was going sown, we drove around looking for a place to eat. So...well what would you eat after a great day together with friend (Tim Schrank) and family?
Pizza!

The Sixth Day

World-class rock climbing at Smith Rock! This is Tim Schrank, walking up the mountain like he's a spider!

This is Alex, again, ambling up there like it's the easiest thing he's ever done.

This is Liv, making rock climbing look like it's no big deal.

Tim Walsh, who does every sport naturally, easily, and well.
Amy, doin' her thang.
There are no pictures of me rock climbing. I DID try, but I just want to say, "It's NOT that easy!" (And, apparently, I'm afraid of heights...)

Oh, Lord,
my God,
when I, in awesome wonder,
consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.
