Maddie in action Silly friends--at Prettyboy Dam Halloween in Hamilton--a big event every year! (And it came on the Wednesday we hosted Hamiltopia!) By the way, that's Princess Tina holding Pumpkin Amelia and Jessica with Pumpkin Christine
Princess Evelyn Princess Lian Captain Sparrow Alex the Court Jester...and I think that's SpiderMan, aka Ryan SmithOne of the three Ninjas living next door...
Phoebe Doubtfire Three very scary Licharowicz' Princess Abby More fun at Prettyboy
Maddie took this picture in November--it reminded her of a poem we read in which autumn leaves are compared to gold coins (It probably wasn't written by a New Zealander since all of the similes in this poem were actually completed...)
Bein' good in the neighborhood Tim and kids and some neighbors on their way to the Switchfoot concert in November
Tim was the man this Thanksgiving. After playing street football (or as Logan calls it, feet football) with the kids, and then leading the whole family on a scavenger hunt, Chef Walsh is pictured here carving the turkey he roasted on the grill--What a guy! 1/2 the table... the other 1/2 (Yes, Abby managed to make it into both pics--hmm, I just can't figure out which parent she takes after...
Ryan likes Espresso--he noticed my espresso machine, and said in a very Uncle Jesse way, actually kinda in a Big Jess sort of way, that if I wanted to brew a pot, he'd be happy to drink it. So I brewed it. And he drank it. I just can't get enough pictures of this kid!
The cousins spent the night and then we all went bowling!
This is how Austin bowled. Don't let my professional stance fool you--I think my final score was in the 60's. Blair Witch

On the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke. "Ocracoked" is still the official word for when a plan sounds better than it actually is.
It was difficult to end four months of summer (who says homeschoolers have it hard?!), but our trip to the Outer Banks in August was the perfect exclamation mark to Summer o' fun. These are some snapshots of our vacation, and picking up life with friends this autumn.
Blogging seems like such a fun and convenient way to keep in touch with everyone--we thought we'd give it a try! Never mind all Diana's anti-technology soapbox speeches--the Walshes are now traveling in cyberspace!
